Who said coop is dead!? Back when we used to enjoy games like Turtles in Time and Streets of Rage finally we have another game to add to the short list of modern coop titles. A good coop these days is just as hard to find as a sorority girl looking for her self-esteem. Let me start by saying that my expectations for this game were extremely low. I never got into this series but thought I would make the purchase with a friend for the coop campaign. Saints Row The Third not only exceeded my expectations but I would say it was one of the most satisfying gaming experiences I’ve had in the past year. This is the type of game that gives you all of the satisfaction of the GTA series but with and added bonus of being so over the top that it’s even more enjoyable.
Let’s start with how many options you have in this game. It’s fully customizable from each facial feature, outfit, voice, taunts, and dances. You also have the ability to modify different vehicles. Each feature gives you the ability to take on any persona that you want your character to have.
Like most of the more successful RPGs this game is open world. You can go wherever you want. Sometimes I find myself just running around and starting gang fights and trying to survive. The campaign will affect the surroundings of the city which gives you a nice change and you will get to enjoy the different surroundings that you yourself are responsible for altering from doing campaign missions.

Going back to the coop aspect of this game I must say it was amazing. The ability to play freely in the city with a friend will help you take advantage of all of the features the game provides. The world is created with many different mini games that you must beat in order to gain control of neighborhoods around the city. Controlling neighborhoods and property increases the amount of revenue generated overtime for your character. The mini games can consist of VS modes or to just create mayhem while trying to reach a score limit to succeed. You can buy different stores ( gun, auto, property, surgeons, hideouts).
Without trying to spoil any of the campaign I will say that this is actually just as fun single player as it is coop. The greatest part about the campaign is the a mount of references cultural references it has along with placement of different song throughout the campaign that seem to fit each situation.
Saints Row The Third is scattered with different outrageous surprises that will always keep you on your toes and always keep you satisfied. You are put in situations that force you to make tough decisions that will change the outcome of the story or might just give you different items.
I recommend that you purchase this game especially if you find any sort or enjoyment from open world RPGs due the the various styles of play and the different outcomes. This game can keep you and you friends busy for quite a while trying to complete it at 100% or just driving around stirring up trouble in Steel Port.

Well, I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I'll gladly play through this game again! And LOL.... BurlyBro still has a computer?
